Start of the Andorra Selected international promotion
Andorra Turisme is taking a further step in positioning the country internationally in the premium tourism sector by presenting Andorra Selected at the Connection Luxury trade fair, to be held this week in Barcelona. This fair brings together agencies from Europe, the United States and other countries worldwide that specialise in this segment, providing them with an opportunity to discover the offer of the highest quality tourism in the Principality. To make the most of the event, as of today the website www.andorraselected.com will be up and running, allowing users to explore what’s on offer from Andorra Selected.
This is the first fair in which the project is to be publicised, and it will also be present in other events specialising in the premium segment, such a the PURE Life Experiences fair in Marrakesh, the Loop in Greece and, especially, the JLTM in Cannes. Along the same lines, Andorra Turisme has planned a number of different commercial and marketing actions, such as a sales tour of Madrid, London and Paris, to present Andorra Selected to different destination management companies (DMCs), and trips to the Principality for agencies from the sector and the trade press.
Second assessment by the international jury
With the aim of continually raising the level of the tourism offer in the Principality, and after several businesses in the country expressed their desire to join Andorra Selected, an independent international jury will carry out a second assessment round this summer. As in the first phase, this jury, consisting of representatives from the hotel and restaurant sectors, the media and the DMCs, will analyse reports from mystery guests and issue their verdict. Candidates will be subject to the following evaluation criteria: exclusivity, uniqueness, personalisation, recognition of international brands, language services, high product quality and customer service, internal policies, audits and sustainability policies.
Andorra Selected recognises and guarantees the premium quality of eight categories of services: accommodation, food and wine experiences, culture, shopping, sports and leisure, wellness and beauty, destination management agencies and, lastly, transport and services.
